GHJ Partner Ilan Haimoff Authors a Chapter in The Movie Business Book

Ilan Haimoff, partner, at Los Angeles-based accounting firm GHJ contributes to The Movie Business Book by authoring a chapter on movie and television participation audits. This book draws from a variety of industry experts in an industry that has seen major disruptions and technology advancements over the years. This is a definitive sourcebook that covers financing, revenue streams, marketing, globalization and other current topics.

Ilan Haimoff has over 22 years of accounting experience in public accounting and private industry serving clients primarily in the entertainment, financial services and distribution service industries. Ilan leads the Entertainment and Media practice and Royalty and Licensing Audit Services. His specialty includes profit participation and forensic accounting on behalf of talent, investors and co-producers at both the major and mini studios. He currently oversees participation audits at various studios, including 20th Century Fox, Sony, Starz, as well as other prominent studios.

Ilan has written various articles and participated in various speaking engagements, focusing on entertainment, profit participation, royalty, internal controls and anti-fraud.
Ilan leads the Entertainment II ProVisors group and is a member of the Motion Picture and Television Fund Professional Advisory Council, the CalCPA Entertainment Conference Planning Committee (Co-Chaired in 2014), the California State University Chancellor’s Advisory Council on the Entertainment Industry, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the AICPA.

Ilan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA. Ilan holds an Accounting bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge.
