GHJ Partner Donella Wilson will be honored as a Community Hero by Soroptimist International of Los Angeles (SILA). SILA is the Los Angeles chapter of an international organization of business women who strive to improve the lives of women and girls with focus on the Los Angeles downtown communities. SILA works with various organizations in the downtown area supporting disadvantaged women to re-enter the workforce with support, supplies and interview assistance.

For more than 90 years, SILA has supported service projects with over $1,000,000 worth of in-kind resources, donations, awards and fellowships. The club has served as a major backer of residential programs for female scholars and homeless women and life-saving shelter services for women and children who are victims of violence in the home. Donella will be honored at the March 16, 2018 luncheon at the California Club for to her outstanding accomplishments and community involvement as the President of the Downtown Women’s Center.
