GHJ Welcomes Mark Kawauchi, Principal, Nonprofit Audit Practice

LOS ANGELES, CA July 26, 2017 …The Los Angeles-based accounting firm, GHJ, is once again expanding its Nonprofit Practice. Mark Kawauchi, CPA, is joining the Firm as a principal and a member of its nonprofit audit leadership team.

Mark has nearly 30 years of public accounting experience and is dedicated to the Firm’s nonprofit clients with a specialty in healthcare. In addition to performing audits and reviews, Mark enjoys being a business advisor to his clients and providing them with personalized service to help them meet their goals.

Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked at Deloitte for nearly 19 years. While at Deloitte, Mark served clients in both the nonprofit and healthcare industries. Clients served include a spectrum of nonprofit organizations across various sectors to large SEC healthcare clients. He also served as an instructor for many of the Deloitte technical training sessions that included topics such as Uniform Grant Guidance – Single Audits, the nonprofit industry and the healthcare industry. Prior to working at Deloitte, Mark worked for another regional CPA firm that specializes in the nonprofit industry.

Mark is a member of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and serves on its Health Care Committee. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Southern California Grantmakers.
